Seanix Technology was founded in Richmond, BC in 1986 by Paul Girard, a native of Quebec. In 23
years, Seanix has assembled over 1,000,000 desktop and notebook PCs having satisfied many
customers by adhering to a philosophy of providing the best possible value while maintaining the highest
quality standards.
Seanix filed for bankruptcy protection on November 10, 2008 due to the severe financial losses incurred
following its acquisitions of the a&b sound business in February 2005 and the subsequent withdrawal of
bank credit facilities in 2008. From December 2007 to June 2008, Girard Holdings Ltd. (GHL) loaned
Seanix $4,500,000 to save the business and compensate for the loss of credit facilities. GHL continues to
support Seanix in rebuilding the business.
Seanix's proposal to creditors was formally approved by the Supreme Court of BC on July 28, 2009. The
proposal entails distributing the proceeds from the disposal of some a&b sound inventory, in addition to
40% of company profits for the next 2 years.
