SEANIX WARRANTY INFORMATION

  Warranty Terms and Conditions

The Limited Warranty set forth below is given by Seanix with respect to Seanix computers purchased directly from Seanix, or from an authorized Seanix reseller. If you did not purchase your system from Seanix or an authorized reseller, then you have purchased the system "as is" with no warranty granted from Seanix. This Limited Warranty is not transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the Seanix system or the person for whom it was purchased as a gift. No other warranty, either express or implied, as to fitness for a purpose, quality, condition, workmanship, materials or components, shall apply.
  • All Seanix branded desktop systems, when delivered to you in a new condition in the original container, are warranted for parts and labour for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.
  • If you purchased a Seanix branded monitor that is associated with a desktop computer system, then the monitor, when delivered to you in new condition in its original container, is warranted for parts and labour for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase.
  • If you purchased a notebook computer from Seanix, the notebook computer including the display is warranted for a period of one (1) year parts and labour from the date of original purchase. For all Seanix branded liquid crystal dislay (LCD) monitors and displays forming part of Seanix notebook computers, see the note below under the heading titled "A Note on our LCD Monitors and Notebook Displays" for further warranty terms.
  • For all Seanix branded liquid crystal dislay (LCD) monitors and displays forming part of Seanix notebook computers, see the note below under the heading titled “A Note on our LCD Monitors and Notebook Displays” for further warranty terms.
  • If you select and pay for an extended warranty term from Seanix, then the system you purchased will be covered under warranty for the extended period of time selected. All other conditions and restrictions contained in this Limited warranty will continue to apply to the extended term. Should you select an extended notebook warranty from Seanix at the time that you purchase your notebook, then the notebook is warranted for such extended warranty period, except for the notebook battery which is only warranted for one year from the date of purchase no matter what extended warranty period is selected.
Defective parts returned to an authorized Seanix service facility and proven to be defective upon inspection, will be exchanged for new parts or comparable rebuilt parts. Seanix also reserves the right to replace any defective parts with equivalent or superior parts. In the case of notebook systems, if the motherboard and/or computer case can not be repaired, Seanix reserves the right to replace them with an equivalent or superior motherboard and/or case. The warranty period for replacement parts shall expire on the same date as the warranty for the product that is the subject of the original purchase.

When returning Seanix systems under this warranty, you must take the system to the nearest Seanix authorized service centre and provide them with a complete explanation of the problem. For the authorized service centre nearest to you, check out the listing on our website. Seanix systems covered by this limited warranty will be repaired and returned to you without charge by the Seanix authorized service centre. Neither Seanix nor the authorized service centre is responsible for the loss of data and/or programs that have been installed on your computer. We strongly recommend that you make a backup of any important data before sending in your computer.

This Limited Warranty covers only defects encountered in normal use of Seanix systems, and does not apply in the following cases:
  • Loss or damage to the Seanix system or monitor due to abuse, mishandling, alteration, accident, electrical current fluctuations, failure to follow operating instructions, maintenance and environmental instructions prescribed in the Seanix User Guide or any service performed on the system by other than an authorized Seanix service facility.
  • Use of parts or supplies (other than those distributed by Seanix) which damage the Seanix system or monitor or cause abnormally frequent service calls or service problems.
  • If any Seanix system or monitor has had its serial numbers or dating altered or removed.
There is no warranty given by Seanix:
  • For any computer programs on disks that may be packaged with the Seanix system (the "bundled software").
  • That any of the bundled software is interoperable with the Seanix system (however Seanix does represent that it has used commercially reasonable methods to determine that the bundled software is interoperable with the Seanix system).

In addition to this technical support, new product information and technology development updates are also available by visiting our website.

A Note on our LCD Monitors and Notebook Displays

LCD monitors and notebook displays sometimes develop a defect known as dead "pixels". A dead pixel occurs when the smallest block that makes up an image on the screen (also called a "pixel") becomes locked in a certain state. For example, a pixel could lock on to a red colour at all times. Manufacturers of LCD monitors and notebook displays expect this defect to occur to a limited extent. Therefore, there is no warranty for any dead pixels unless and until your display has 8 or more such dead pixels.

NO IMPLIED WARRANTY (OR CONDITION), INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY (OR CONDITION) OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, APPLIES TO THE SEANIX SYSTEM OR MONITOR EXCEPT THE EXPRESS WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, AND NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE, EXCEPT AS MENTIONED ABOVE, GIVEN BY ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION WITH RESPECT TO THE SEANIX SYSTEM OR MONITOR SHALL BIND SEANIX. NEITHER SEANIX NOR ANY OTHER PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION, IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, EXPENSE OR INCONVENIENCE, OR FOR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SEANIX SYSTEM, THE MONITOR AND THE BUNDLED SOFTWARE WHETHER ON ACCOUNT OF NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE, OR BY FAILURE TO CONFORM TO ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES (SOME JURIDISCTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU). THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXTEND TO ANYONE OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER OF THE SEANIX SYSTEM AND MONITOR, OR THE PERSON FOR WHOM IT WAS PURCHASED AS A GIFT.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
